Darren is the owner of Coastal Flooring Solutions, Inc., formerly Creative Floors South, Inc. for over 20 years.
Ryan Shaffer graduated Cape Henlopen High School - 2017 and Graduated as a Civil Engineer from University of Delaware in 2021. He now is working for Coastal Flooring Solutions with his Father.
Amanda Shaffer graduated Sussex Academy - 2020 and Graduated as a Wildlife Ecology and Conservation and a Minor in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Delaware in 2023.
COMMUNITY HELPING COMMUNITY ONE RALLY AT A TIME
Darren and Kyle Shaffer and other close friends felt there was a void in the Community to come together and Give Thanks and Help Raise Money for Our Local First Responders. We decided to Create the Shaffer Family Foundation to help Fuel this goal and to help raise money for our First Responders and expedite the donations, while affording a tax deduction to generous supporters.
The Shaffer Family Foundation is a subsidiary of the Greater Lewes Foundation's 501(c)(3).
The Shaffer Family Foundation is committed to donating all proceeds collected to the various benefeciaries. Only actual expenses are deducted from the total amount collected. No management fees are taken by any committee member.
On May 15th 2022, the First Rally For Our First Responders took place at Hudson Fields, Milton, DE. The Shaffer Foundation and their small committe and the community helped raise $75k for the 8 Beneficiaries that day!
The 2nd Annual Rally For Our First Responders took place on our rain date, Sunday, May 21st on 10 acres at Hudson Fields, Milton, DE. This Rally Benefitted 10 Beneficiaires and we helped raise $78K.
The 3rd Annual Rally For Our First Responders took place on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Noon-6pm. The Rally Benefitted 12 Beneficiaries and helped we helped raise $101,875K.
The 4th Annual Rally For Our First Responders will take place on Saturday, May 31st at Hudson Fields, Milton DE at 12-5pm (Gates open at 11:30am) the rain date will be on Sunday, June 1st.
Kyle Shaffer - President and Founder of The Shaffer Family Foundation. Her passion is Philantrhopy and her priority is to help give back to our wonderful community.
She loves spending time with her family, close friends and her furry baby, Sonny who just recently passed away! She also created Sonny's Treats, LLC. in which she donates 100% of the Proceeds to Benefit the Local First Responders.
The Sonny Treats are Dog Beer Biscuits made with Spent Revelation Beer Grain, Natural Peanut Butter, Pumpkin Puree, Eggs and Whole Wheat Flour. They are available for purchase by contacting Kyle at Kyle@shafferfoundation.com. $8 for 10 Sonny's Beer Biscuits.
This is our NEW baby, Phoebe! She is a Toy Golden Doodle and has touched our hearts, but will never replace our Sonny.
